People are strange.

Lately it just seems that there are a number of situations that are being blown completely out of proportion. I don't understand people's choices and I just can't figure people out recently. Were we put here to piss people off? If not, why do we insist on doing so?

I hate political correctness. Society is trying too hard to be politically correct and as a result, it is verging on rather incorrect. One nation, many cultures? Don't get me started. People seem to have had sense of humour transplants. Nothing is funny anymore. We are enveloped in stigma. Is it any wonder that depression statistics are increasing all the time? And that sufferers are getting younger? Teenagers are depressed as a result of bullying.. I don't know anyone who hasn't experienced some form of bullying at some point in their life and we're all still here, we all survived it. We lived in a day where we were told to stand up for ourselves and now the children are taught to clipe, not allowed to fight their battles. Everyone is wrapped up in so much cotton wool, real experiences are being missed out on. Falling out of trees and falling off your bike should be valued as a life lesson, not avoided. Chances are, it's falling off your bike won't kill you.

It is not coincidence that childhood obesity is rising - along with sales of Playstation 3s. Buy them a Wii, for God's sake. Get them off their arses for an hour. It's cheaper, too.

Is it worth bringing children in to this? We can't blame war for the state of the world. There was never more community spirit than during WWII. Maybe people need to start talking again. Log out of Bebo. Sign off of MSN. Call instead of text... meet up instead of call. Say hello to your neighbours, borrow sugar from them if need be.

Why can't everybody get along?
